Escape & Celebrate: A much-needed fun-filled summer holiday with my family
In August 2021, a few weeks after the end of the summer term, it was finally time for a long-awaited and much-needed holiday abroad. Due to the pandemic and having spent all my school holidays writing essays, I hadn't been on holiday for over two years. Having missed out on my annual spring break to Mallorca, I was so ready for an indulgent Mediterranean getaway. After months of anticipation and excitement, it was high time for my postponed Portugal 2020 family holiday. A week to unwind and relax in the sun was now going to be a massive celebration for getting through the last few years and for achieving QTS. I was all packed and ready to go, and I couldn't wait for relaxing strolls, sun loungers and Soleros. Considering all the airport chaos that had been happening due to staffing issues, Heathrow Airport was really quiet, and the staff were all ready to assist. As soon as I dropped off my bag and passed through airport security, I was ready to slow down, sit back and enjoy the journey. Within 30 minutes of arriving at the airport, I was sitting in the British Airways lounge, and my holiday had begun :).
Lounge Time: My sister and I enjoying BA's South lounge at T5
The infamous Horse lamppost at the BA Galleries First Class Lounge, T5
Onboard Catering: I went for the cod and it was delicious
Keeping Active: I love hiking in the Algarve's red mountains
Beach Fun
Epic: It was an epic holiday
